IGN review ASB

Several thoughts struck me as I was reading the review of ASB from IGN. First, why only a two page review - that leads me to believe the reviewer played the game for such a short time he didn't have much to say.

The second thought that occurred to me was that he mentioned (and trashed) fielder cam without ever once mentioning you could turn it off if you didn't like it.

He really didn't mention any flaws of a gameplay nature - yet rated it lower than MVP which as we know has several gameplay flaws.

Finally, while he had many positive things to say about the gameplay and dynasty mode (namely the substitution of pinch runners late in a game) he really didn't scratch the surface of dynasty mode. It is as deep as anything you will see in a video game - including such things as the Rule 5 draft, and waivers - a realistic waiver wire as well.

He never mentioned the stadium graphics which are better than every other baseball game in their depth and accuracy, and neither did he mention the innovative features in ASB like expansion teams, teams reloacting to new stadiums in franchise mode, and the 'future ballparks' where teams may end up playing say 5 years down the road.

Really... a very disapointing review.
